SharePoint Online Developer


Working in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, this position will interact with a large variety of employees including engineers, scientists, GIS specialists, and corporate business professionals throughout the company. The SharePoint developer will work in maintenance and development of various SharePoint Online systems, focused specifically on data management, automation, and intranet needs.


Initial priority projects and tasks for this position include:

1) migration of our dashboard from its current platform to SharePoint Online and Teams; and

2) data migration from our on-site storage to SharePoint Online. Working in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and other professionals, this position will:

  • Design, develop, and test various sites with SharePoint Online in order to streamline and automate processes within the company
  • Gain a working knowledge of the internal structure of Provost & Pritchard, including file management, intranet systems, employee hierarchy, network design, and general infrastructure
  • Help maneuver the company along the path of SharePoint and Teams
  • Serve as a liaison among Provost & Pritchard staff to identify areas where improvements to workflows can be made using SharePoint, Office 365, or other related applications
  • Work with various department heads to assess SharePoint automation needs
  • Design documentation and tutorials for new and existing SharePoint systems
  • Conduct and coordinate SharePoint training for P&P staff


  • Bachelor’s degree – Computer Science or closely related field
  • 3-5+ years of SharePoint programming/development experience
  • SharePoint certifications a plus
  • 5+ years of Microsoft Office experience
  • 2+ years of full stack web development experience
  • Detail-oriented work ethic
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated positive people skills and successful team collaboration
