Project Description
Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments
Provost & Pritchard completed five Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) for the City of Fresno’s Department of Public Works for five new well pump stations. These properties included residential and industrial properties at various locations within the City of Fresno.
Another Fresno Area project included the Phase I & II ESA and Cleanup Plan prepared for the Fresno Redevelopment Agency prior to the construction of the new IRS building in Downtown Fresno. This project consisted of a Corridor Study site assessment of a downtown block of over 10 businesses. Former underground storage tank (UST) and auto repair businesses were identified from historical research. Geophysical and asbestos & lead based paint surveys, soil sampling & analysis for solvents, metals and petroleum compounds were also conducted. Groundwater monitoring wells were installed and sampled for the presence of volatile solvents. Groundwater monitoring wells were later decommissioned under RWQCB oversight. The project was successfully completed under an expedited schedule and tight budget to meet the construction timeline for the new building.
