City of Mendota’s Stormwater Improvement Project Awarded $4.2 Million in Funding
In an effort to reduce urban flooding, the California Natural Resources Agency awarded $87.6 million in grant funding to various projects across the state under the Urban Flood Protection Grant Program. One of the highlighted projects includes the City of Mendota’s Stormwater Improvement Project. Provost and & Pritchard worked with the City to prepared preliminary designs documents for the application which resulted in the award of $4.2 million to reduce severe, persistent flooding along two blocks of Naples Street with low impact development street tree sponges and conventional drainage infrastructure to capture and convey stormwater runoff to an extended dry detention basin. We are looking forward to working with the City to better their community.
